Your Dad: a tightwad (I prefer prudent) who was generous to a fault. A selfless man who gave without constraints, without thinking of his own cost. A man who viewed all of humanity equally.

Your Dad taught by example in his compressed time on earth. No platitudes or hypocrisy. I wonder what made him so. I would love to know more of his history.

Despite how his life ended, your Dad mattered too. If there’s any doubt, please look in the mirror.

And perform you did, Sean Dietrich. You had the audience in the palm of your hand from the time you stepped on stage until your performance time was up and your job was done so well. Loved to listening to you here in Texas tonight on Opryland radio station there in Nashville Tennessee. You learned your daddy's life lesson well and learned from him how to be a giver instead of a taker. My church pastor told our congregation long ago that those are the only two kinds of folks in the world. The givers are always blessed by God in many ways in their life and serve as God's vessels to pour out a blessing on others and experience they peace of God when doing so. The takers, however, are not so lucky. They never get enough and our nervous satisfied long when they take something. So keep on keeping on. This is a great story and a tribute to your late father whom you love so much both then and now. Hold on to such Precious Memories as you shared with your readers tonight about this Golden Nugget of a story just before you went on and performed at the Grand Ole Opry for the second time in your life. I am certain that you will have many many more performances there where you can be a blessing to this world and cheer people up and make them reflect on life and the opportunities that each of us have to love one another and those that we meet along the Wayside. God bless you Shawna the South
