By the time this is done, you are going to think you've been in a Madea skit! Love the photos. If there were any without people, I'd copy them as screensavers. Everywhere you look, it's a Nat'l Geographic scene! And everything is clean! (Tell us that's what you see, too.) I love the translation; must use it the next time I have a bone to pick with a fire hydrant! Bless Jamie: she knows how to further international relations. Cussing is the glue that binds us! March on, Pilgrims!
What a journey my dear friend I am so excited for the both of you and the way you describe it , it feels like I am on the journey along side of you to and for that I thank you 🙏🙏
May you begin your walk with open hearts and open minds. It’s an experience you will never forget and it will touch you and change you in ways you can only imagine. Blessings and peace to you and Jamie and BUEN CAMINO!
So grateful you’re sharing this with us. We’re praying for you and Jamie. And your Spanish. But you never know when you may need to debone a fire hydrant!
I like your wife Sean, I bet we could teach each other new descriptive words. I can visualize the countryside you describe and am loving your unique perspective of the culture. Thank you so much for taking the time to share.
A friend walked El Camino, from exactly where you are, last year. She returned home just prior to the election. She has written about her journey, as well, and I recently finished editing her book about her pilgrimage. It was an honor to do that! I'm so pleased you're sharing this with us.
It occurred to me when I woke this morning that today is Palm Sunday. Then I also realized you two will begin your walk during Holy Week. How wonderful!
Also, as a side note, yes Jamie and the rest of us former teachers sometimes use REALLY descriptive words and phrases. 🤣
My wish for you and Jamie is safe travels, good weather and a tall glass of Estrella Galicia around each bend in the trail! The "C" in Galicia is pronounced "th".

God bless you as you begin this journey. I hope it is all you hoped it would be for you and Jamie. We love you and can’t wait to hear from you again.
Prayers for a safe and fulfilling trek for you and your beautiful hiking companion, Sean - and for no more ralphing.
Buckle up buttercup. Y'all can do this! It's Palm Sunday here. Don't walk behind the donkeys.

¡Buen Camino!
Magnificent pageantry and religious parades throughout the small towns during Easter. You are in for a treat.
Sean, that hat!

I can feel it and imagine the welcome of fresh bread! I hope you both get a comfortable rest tonight!
