Just a quick note from me: I didn’t mention military personnel because I wrote this article at 4:45 a.m., and at the time, the military was pretty silent on the issue. They were still looking for survivors. I updated other iterations of the article immediately, but I can’t update an email in your inbox.

Thank you for clarifying. If only there HAD been survivors. But God’s Will Be Done🙏 At least we have 67 new Angels to look up to😇

I know the Lord allowed it to happen, but it wasn’t his will. I don’t believe saying that is a comfort to all the families and friends who lost loved ones in this catastrophe. Prayers for those families and friends. It is very tragic.🙏🏻

Very tragic indeed. And you are certainly entitled to your beliefs.

But for those of us who believe in God’s Will, we pray for strength to accept that. And we also pray for the loved ones lost, along with their families and friends.🙏

I do believe in God’s will. But if you know the Bible and His word it is not his “will” that tragedies happen. My prayer is that the Lord will comfort them in their time of sorrow. I pray that they know the Lord as their savior. But I still believe it isn’t any comfort to say it was God’s will. I will continue to pray that the Lord comforts them and that they know Him as their Lord and Savior.

As I said, your beliefs are your own. But even tragedies are a part of God’s Plan. Our Faith in Him will support us through all of the good and bad in life. I am on my knees and Storming the Heavens for Comfort and Strength. 🙏

Oh my heart aches right now. I am a retired Blackhawk pilot and will not begin to speculate on what happened. Let the investigators do their job before we start pointing fingers. Aviation accidents are rarely caused by one factor and are usually brought about by pilot inattention to conditions, loss of communication, or a myriad of other factors that aligned themselves to create a catastrophic accident. But one thing is certain; there are many families undergoing a massive amount of pain right now. Keep them in your prayers!

Oh Elizabeth, of course they are! Thank you for the reminder...As a person from a military family, now retired, no one comments on military accidents until the military gets their ducks in a row. So, it should be no surprise that there was no information available initially. My heart is breaking for them all......

Thank you for the truth about this tragedy. Your description of everyone on the plane, including the pilots and attendants, made it so very real. We must not forget the victims and their families. Also, it's hard to imagine how hard this is for those diving in the freezing water and the first responders. Planes can be replaced but not the people. Once again, your perspective is what we need to remember.

I remember the air disaster in 82 when the plane crashed into the Potomac. A colleague had a brother on that flight and the landing gear creased a car on a bridge. Air Florida 90... 78 people died. Its always sad when human error or something ends the life of so many at one time......Life is short and these things make it shorter. Praying for those families......
