I can attest that God truly does answer prayers & deliver miracles. He answered some pretty gut wrenching prayers I delivered to His feet in 1977. My daughter was born with a Neuroblastoma in 1976 and 13 months later we got her diagnosis. After 19 years in 1975 following multiple surgeries, treatments, etc. the Drs. released her from any other follow-up. At that time, she had the distinguished honor of being the longest living survivor. She is now 48 yrs old, married, and I have a beautiful 12 year old granddaughter.

You know I am praying for the children 🙏🏼

Jan, I am so happy your daughter survived and is well. My daughter is a year older than she and almost died from a suicide attempt when she was a teenager. I lived across from a church whose lighted cross shone into my window, and I felt his presence every night as I prayed for her. She has grown into a beautiful adult and artist and has gifted me with 2 precious grandchildren. We are both blessed!

Jan and Penny, your stories are wonderful examples of The Power of Prayer. Not only did your daughters survive, but you were also blessed with grandchildren🙏

I feel for you. When my high school friend sent me a request for prayers for her little nephew, I asked did she make a mistake sending it to me? Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian but about the only praying I was doing was praying for my food. I haven't prayed for anyone so hard in my life. He isn't two months old and needs a heart. I couldn't say no. She is one of the most dedicated Christians I know and if she thinks me praying will help then praying, I will do.

Sean, you need to stop constantly beating yourself up. You are human, just like the rest of us. None of us prays as much as we should (well, maybe Jamie does). My prayers usually usually get written in my daily journaling (if I don't forget!) and said to help myself get to asleep. I fall back too often on the rote ones pounded into my head as a child, but they are comforting and help me sleep. The hardest part for me is in the Lord's Prayer, where it says "as we forgive those who trespass against us." I pause there and ask God to help me truly do that. I also remember what Jesus said: "They know not what they do." That often gets inserted after the Lord's prayer line mentioned above and that helps me forgive. But it's still hard work. Lord, please help and protect the children!

Yes, Sean does need to stop putting himself down. One of these days, God is going to hear me, and He will send down the Holy Spirit to enlighten Sean🕊️

Maybe then we will see a more confident and self-assured Child of God, who is much admired and loved and respected by his adoring readers.

Thanks, Mam. You speak for so many of God's children, I being one of the sorriest. he loves us all, however, and wants to hear our prayers.

I don’t have the words to say how strongly I’m joining this prayer with you. I’m so tired of seeing cancer wreck the lives of children and their families. And I know, I know in my soul, that He is there, and He is listening. Maybe if we all joined our prayers to yours? Love and hugs.

If you are praying to God, you are chosen and you matter. Intervention for those precious children is heart-felt and wonderful. Keep believing you are a child of the King. In Isaiah, we are told that God measures the oceans in the palm of His hand. That's a God who's powerful enough to hear you and help these children. But only He knows what outcome is best. Daniel 2:28-There IS a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. Like I said, keep believing. And praying.

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Angels watch me through the night and wake me with the morning light. I learned it this way and made for much better dreams.

Sounds like another prayer I read about once...

"...the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ (Luke 18:13)

Jesus seemed to like that one pretty well...

All prayers come from failed humans. And many of us suffer from “clinically diagnosed Rapture Anxiety..” We’re praying too.

I laughed out loud at a line or two then I cried with you Sean. Life is so tough and most of the time, hard to understand. Faith, Trust..the only things that get us thru it.

Sean, you have been chosen to care about children who are suffering. You didn’t earn that by how many or how good a prayer you have said. God knows your heart. He knows you give encouragement to a hurting world, to us older people too.

I pray for you to have the strength to keep up this good work. It is heartbreaking to see babies like this yet, you take your scrabble game in to play with a child. You meet them on their level. This gives so much comfort to each person that you visit.

God uses you. No matter how unworthy you think you are, you are God’s vessel.

Do you know the cracked pot story?

Every day, a man (person, if I must be politically correct!) carried two pots of water on a pole up a slope. He complained to God that one of the pots was always empty by the time he reached the top. God said, “Look back down your path.” Sure enough, one side — the empty pot side — bloomed with an abundance of flowers and fruits.

We are all cracked pots, and from our brokenness, we may bless others, just as you have blessed us today with your blog.

YOU AND ME BOTH!

AIN'T GOD WONDERFUL?!?

Unbelievable how he looks out for folks like us that have 2 arms & 2 legs, can see & hear & smell & feel. As much as we care for those with handicaps God saw fit to not make you & I one of them.

Ain't that something?

Just like you Sean, I help folks when I can but I know it's never enough.

The Bessemer Fire Dept was at the shopping center today holding out boots and collecting money for who knows what. I passed by but turned around and went back to drop a few bucks in a boot. The guy thanked me so much. I only wish I'd had more cash to give. I see them helping people all the time. I really hope they raised thousands.

We serve a wonderful God that never lets us down.

I'm so happy to be your friend and especially your brother in Christ.

You and Jamie are always in my prayers.

Always.

I love you both.

Dear Sean, first, God doesn't care what religion you are. Religion is a tool for connecting to you to God. Then people had to screw it up and make all these rules and rituals that only have meaning to them. Second, I think you are praying all the time, all day long. You can't have a thought in your head or a feeling in your heart without God knowing about it. Add a thank you for all your blessings and bless others. Viola! You are praying.

Third, I want you think about what you get out of demeaning yourself? Is it a back door method to get people to support and compliment you? Do you only believe good things about yourself if told by someone other than yourself? I said before that God knows your thoughts and feelings. Remember, God doesn't make mistakes. Quit being insulting to His creation and Devine child...YOU!

You are love and loved. Now act like it❣️

Amen to this, Nancy Ferguson. I agree with you. Religion just screw things up people pick and choose what they want to believe and do so they jump from church to church, searching for what best suits their desires. I have also wondered about Seaner demeaning himself often. Someone in my family constantly does that about herself and it's often to receive compliments. It does get old.

I agree with Nancy, Susie, and Cheryl. And I think MAM touched on this same thing a few hours ago.

I stuck my neck out several months back, about Sean’s low self-image, poor self-esteem, etc., but that didn’t go over very well, to say the least.
