Mysteries of life are always in the back of our minds. There is no doubt you and Jamie are in the right place right now. Most people can observe the world around them. Not many can put those observations in to words like you. Thank you for being our eyes in Spain and for this amazing journey. Thank you for sharing so much with us, Sean. We love you and safe travels.....

Sean is gifted with a way of seeing the world he encounters with such apt descriptions, I can easily envision it. It makes him a unique, precious voice - which we all celebrate.

Sean is an artist. He is musician (artist). He is a writer (artist). He is a poet and songwriter (artist). He creates drawing and sketches (artist). He is growing into a wonderful philosopher (artist). All of these are gifts of the Spirit of God! This journey will only serve to enhance the rest of his life as he serves the Lord and in like, will enhance his wife!

In case I didn't mention this, I SO admire what you two are doing. It's envious, admirable, inspirational and so much more. I actually get it. I get why you are doing it. It's just crazy enough to be sane. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for sharing this journey with us, step by step. These images are incredible. I have always looked forward to your daily blog but now, I anticipate it like a big piece of chocolate cake. ❤️

Maybe the still, small voice doesn't need to be louder. We just need to be quieter. And keep walking.

I am loving every dispatch from the Camino. I feel like I’m right there with you. But at 76yo it is something I will never be able to do myself. As an old Kentucky woman I find you to be the most down to earth and concise communicator I’ve read in a long time. I look forward to your email every day. God bless you and your partner as you continue your walk. Looking forward to continuing with you. God Bless you and all the pilgrims who travel the Way.

The first time I walked on the Camino, we met up with a priest from Germany, Father Stefan, in Sarria. We had the same destination each night so we saw alot of him along the way. He was walking barefoot. When asked why he said, " because this is the way the first pilgrims walked it".

We saw him as we walked in to Santiago and he asked if we'd been to the cathedral yet. We said we were on our way there and so he walked with us, even though he'd already been. It was very special, having a holy man escort us to the cathedral.

The photo of Jamie and the feline is now my favorite picture of her. P.S. Animals are excellent judges of character...

Cheryl, that picture of Jamie and the cat, looking directly into the camera with those pretty eyes, took my breath away, too!!

I absolutely love that you are walking the Camino and especially that the Creator of your soul is speaking to you. I read some of the comments here and on Facebook of the people that will never be able to do the Camino for whatever reason. I have a lot of friends who have walked it, some of them numerous times. It’s never interested me. But walking does. And hiking does. I started hiking in the mountains of Switzerland when I was 29. I’m 70 now. And the Still Small Voice is always speaking to me when I get still and hike. So for people who can’t do the Camino, or simply don’t want to do it. Just go walk. Find your spot where you aren’t distracted and just walk. And listen. I find the challenging hikes were the places I felt most connected to my Creator. Keep on preaching the message. Love God. Love one another. Love yourself. You are one of the best preachers I ever heard. Thank you for not complicating The Kingdom of God. It really is for little children. Probably not the wine swilling from plastic cups and the clay jars - you know, at least until their incompletely formed brains have a bit more prefrontal cortex. But all the rest of it, yes! And PS - take some video of playing your fiddle!

I no longer have working feet so I am grounded from walking, but lately, reading all of this and watching the movie "The Way" with Martin Sheen a few months ago, and now with Sean and Jamie doing it, I have started asking the Lord if when I get to heaven could I please walk the El Camino de Santiago just for the grandeur of it all!

You will!

However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,

what no ear has heard,

and what no human mind has conceived”

the things God has prepared for those who love him!

This is not home. Live vicariously for now. Your time will come!

We’ve not met beyond the web but I’ve called you “friend” and hope you call me likewise. I’m about thirty years your senior but your words can make me feel like a child. ❤️

Thank you sir, for all your help. I think you’re part of an awakening taking place right now and for forever. 💙💕

Have a blessed day!

Sean, as a daily reader for several years I’d looked forward to your dispatches from El Camino. At age 83 m time for such an opportunity has passed me by. Can’t tell how much I value your insights and photos. They are such a blessing for armchair travelers. My soul still wants to be quiet and learn the lessons you share.🥰

I just mentioned to my grandchildren that too often "life is wasted on the young." I too am no longer able to do much of the physical things of life but my mouth works fine so I speak Jesus to every single ear that comes close to me. I am a Sean and Jamie armchair traveler with you sister Elizabeth!

Maybe it's only in the walking in silence and pausing to consider that we actually can clear our minds enough to hear the Lord speak to us, the Great Operator Himself. Maybe it takes an intent of heart to block out the unnecessary to truly hear the essential. I'm grateful you and Jamie are making this journey and are willing to share it. There's a sacredness about moving in the quiet and knowing there's more to life than a screen and an image.

You have blessed us with your daily writings on y’all’s pilgrimage. What if, for a few days, you signed off and did not write and walked without thinking about what to say on your daily musings. I look forward to what you are sharing with us each day, however; finish what you have started and do the hokie- pokie with your pilgrimage. We love your writings but maybe your audience can wait a few days to hear “the rest of the story”. Many blessings, particularly to y’all’s feet.
