Your posts are like reading a novel, I don’t know what twist or turn the story will take, but what I do know is I care deeply about the characters involved. I know the Author; He is the Author and Finisher of my faith. I pray your calves heal.

When Russel Baker the long time columnist for the New York Times was starting out as a newspaperman he convinced the Baltimore paper he was starting out with, to send him to the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Baltimore meant little to the mighty British Commonwealth, so Baker didn’t get the best seating. In fact his seat was near the restrooms . Security was tight and all the guests had to be in their seats long before the ceremony began. There were guest from all over the Commonwealth dressed in the finery of their nations. The guests were human so they used the rest rooms while waiting. Baker used his eyes and descriptive skills to tell the story of the procession to the rest room to illustrate the Coronation for his readers and it was his big break in journalism. Sean has the eyes and ears to see and hear the things I would over look by focusing on myself and illustrate the magic of his pilgrimage and I thank him for it.

Even the ballooned calves have a reason on the Camino. Heal well, Sean, in the broadest sense of The Way. Christ be with you.

Friends: I know I can call you that after all this time. Sean doesn’t know that just as he spent time in a chapel this morning, I did too, except it was in my bathroom. You see, I fell on Tuesday in a restaurant, without warning. I was simply walking to a register to order ice cream. In the restaurant were 3 paramedics, who immediately rushed to me and ordered an ambulance after examining me. I knew something was wrong ~ my sandal was hurting my foot. Yes that’s how I took it. And yes my foot was broken in 3 places. So this morning I was in my bathroom at 4 AM in a wheelchair, crying and praying because I have surgery today and I’m scared. Not of the surgery but the aftermath. So friends ~ will you pray for me today?

Louise, I will be happy to pray for you and the surgical team. I can relate to your situation only too well. You'll be up and at 'em before you know it. Get yourself a knee scooter. It won't be overnight, but it's the best way to get around. God bless you

Louise, Sheri K is right about the knee scooter. Feet and ankles are hardest to heal, down there at the bottom and taking all our weight. You and your care providers are in my prayers, too. May you discover the purpose for this roadblock, as Sean listens for his own, GOD has a reason for sitting us down for a while. Love, Cheryl

Christogram is a discovery I made in your interesting and intriguing story today! After I did a side study I realized it was just the tip of the ice berg. Your discovery is our discovery……Christ, indeed, left His mark! Praying for complete healing and thankful for the medical attention you’ve had. You also have the BEST sidekick….but you already know that well! Blessings as you rest……

A portion of the prayer of St. Patrick...

"Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,

Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,

Christ on my right, Christ on my left,

Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,

Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,

Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,

Christ in the eye that sees me,

Christ in the ear that hears me."

I truly love this prayer of St. Patrick, it was the first word that popped into my head when Sean started out with the Chi-Rho image, yes Christ. In all things, Christ.

El Camino. You are on the road or the way to cleansing your soul. You were meant to take this walk. JesusGod has been knocking at the door of your soul & you are finally hearing it. My prayer for you is that when you reach the end of the El Camino you have opened the door as wide as can be & accepted the gracious love of the one who placed himsel on the cross for the likes of you & me. Amen

I have no idea if you have the time to read our comments… But if for some reason you can/do, please Google “Legs Up the Wall”… It might really help your legs and swelling right now (in addition to the ice and rest)…

Grace & peace… ❤️

I believe we tend to make prayer too fanciful or too regimented. Being single and on the older side I talk to myself. I realize now Who I’m really talking to. If we are His bride we should be able to talk to Him as we would a husband; frequently, intimately, in gratitude, in compassion, with humor. All the emotions and questions, He longs to be with us and to disciple us.

The Lord already knows how we feel. He knows when we’re praying for the sake of having prayed. It is better to talk to Him with our hearts for a few minutes or even seconds, than drone on and on with our prayer requests and a checklist for an hour.

You have a huge, tender heart. In many ways your writings are prayer.

Sometimes a physical rest is a nudge for spiritual healing and strength from above.
