Questions we (those of us 'walking' the Camino through you), ought to seriously contemplate in our own lives. In my humble opinion, we are all walking some kind of Camino trail, right along with you...albeit unconsciously.
My wish is that some of your insights, shared within this Substack community, will have a long lasting effect within each reader's life, and that the spirit of love, compassion, understanding, and sharing will help us all live our lives with loving kindness and with grace towards ourselves and others. Vaya con Dios Jamie and Sean.
I am excited for you to place your hand on the marble pillar at the entry to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostella. There is an actual handprint there where the marble is worn from the millions of pilgrims who touched that very spot. The handprint is surprisingly small, but that trip must have been enormous. ❤️❤️❤️
Enjoy every single step towards the cathedral and if you’re lucky and sign in at the pilgrims office, you may hear your name read out in the pilgrims service next morning.
OMG - God spoke to me through you Sean in your words today. Last month I did my first solo international trip. Every day I met lots of different people who showed me different acts of kindness. I was overwhelmed and I told my friends it is those memories I will never forget.
Congratulations on your journey of discovery. Buen Camino.
Wow. I have so enjoyed reading your daily journal from "The Trail"... I'm now humming Roy and Dale's song "Happy Trails to you...until we meet again". Appropriate song for all those amazing pilgrims you have met along this journey. I got a chuckle when I saw you refer to your backpack as 32 liter in size... wait, what??? No more galones Americanos?
In our heart is the Spirit. The Spirit links us to each other. Most apparently within breathing distance. But words and symbols link our hearts as well. “Happy Trails to you… until we meet again.” ❤️
Unbelievable that you're almost there!!! And to arrive on a Sunday!!! How appropriate considering all the heavenly revelations you've received throughout your journey! Thank you for letting us go with you!! God speed and happy trails!! 💖
Sean, Just when I thought your words couldn’t make me feel any more emotional, you write this! Curse You! But Love to you and your bride, finish this Journey for all of us!
Here’s the secret to loving unloveable people, Jesus. I put Jesus’ face on the unloveable and remember that we will all stand before God and recount our wrongs. Trembling as I write this knowing that I am forgiven but trembling in awe and reverence. Praise the Lord for He alone is good!🙌🏻✝️💝
The eyes of your soul have been opened wide. What a beautiful blessing the Camino has been for you & will continue to be for you. Thank you JesusGod for the blessings you have poured out into Sean & Jamie.

Buen Camino! I have loved every minute of your journey. Your dispatches have been my vicarious pilgrimage. Thank you for sharing it with us.
The Camino is not a place. It is a group of people being kind and generous to each other. Each and every day.
You nailed it!
