Todd IS a hero! However, that is the way we do things in NYC. Remember the firemen who ran into the WTC as it came tumbling down on 9/11? However, that is also the way we do things in Alabama! I know about both places because I have lived in both places - and I LOVE both places! That being said, it is also how things are done in the Midwest. Again, I am speaking about a region of the country in which I have lived. Hmmm, it must be something about the UNITED States of America!

Somebody once said we need 12 hugs a day. That Todd’s good for a couple days now. But I hope he gets 23 more tomorrow.

Todd is a sure enough, every day, common man hero. There are at least 23 people who will attest to that. His grandma is a lucky woman - and I have an idea she is reaping what she has sewn. Hooray for Todd!

A 21 gun salute is a high honor….but a 23 group hug is a sign of compassion for our fellow man! Love so much about this story from the hearts of caring! The up and down stairs to see that everyone got out to a safe place, if needed, was well orchestrated by one man…..never should be said we can’t communicate if we don’t know a language when our hands can tell much! A cry went out….and a caring soul heard each one!

Another great story, true or not. You know, if you did what Todd did you’d have to feel good about yourself fer at least a week or two. Better to give than to receive! BTW Pubette jr. (Amber Jackie) lives in NYC and was dere fer the big event. Just happened dat she was coming to south Alabam today fer high school friends wedding on tomorrow. So I’m at da Barfeteria making Possum stew fer da weekend but I saw on my trusty iPhone 2 dat she’s safely arrived in “ God’s Country “. Love the USA but admittedly a little partial to da south! Pone you whipped dat one up short notice my Bro. We better dispatch RicCy P up dar in his “War Wagon” and bring da rest of da stragglers on home. He told me he was gone do dem folks “a solid!” Whatever dat means- afraid to axe, or sniff fer dat matter.

Hang tight my Amigos,

Pubert Earle

I have looked and dat possum grease is bubbling right up! RicCy better take Trent as your wingman!

I can tell you folks, it was 10-15 long seconds of “WHAT is happening”?

I was at the kitchen sink when my house shook & the noise so loud, I wasn’t sure if a plane was very low coming into

Philly airport (which is 20 miles from me) or huge extremely loud trucks coming into my neighborhood…or both.

Phew, it was definitely a 1st for me. This is suburban Philly…we don’t get earthquakes!! 🤯

Todd, you are a true hero 🙏🏻God Bless You 🙏🏻 for being there to help so many in need as I can assure you they were

probably frightened & their nerves shot from the ordeal.

I believe there are Todds in our life everyday and the best way to meet them is just ask for their help. I believe in people and hopefully you do too.

My grandson is in the United States Coast Guard stationed in Staten Island. Currently living off base in Brooklyn, NYC. MY daughter texted me to tell me he had “snapped” her relaying that he had been awakened by this earthquake. For this Mississippi Mimi who spends 99% of my time worrying about my grown and flown 20 something year old grands I was hysterical. When I finally reached him He was like “just a new experience “. Grateful for God’s protection for all the folks in that tri state area affected. Having visited several times I truly love NYC. THE Big Apple. May not be the’Sip but still an amazing part of our great USA. Whether you are a believer or not I for one am thankful that there was no serious damage or loss of life. Now rock on NYC. Cain’t wait to see that grandson and wave to Lady Liberty as I pass by on my way over on the Staten Island Ferry. Thank you @seandietrich for reminding us of all the great parts of our country.

Rather a cool story! I hope that Todd is not just a fictional character for the purpose of the blog. I will choose to believe he is real because there are many people, in many places, that would do as Todd did. Because we so seldom hear about them, it makes us wonder if they actually exist.
