I cried at this. I didn't get misty. I didn't tear up. I cried full-on, with tears running down my face. Oh, Sean, you have such a beautiful way of l saying things. How fantastic that you saw them, that you found out that you made such an impression, that you genuinely mattered to them. So few of us have the chance to find that out. Often, we never know what kind of difference we make in the lives of others. What a blessing to you that God gifted you this meeting.

Being a probation office there were many times, actually too many to recall, that I felt like a teacher of adults. I learned very quickly that not all those who we call adults just because they have turned 18 are definitely NOT adults in any sense of the word.

Some don’t ever really become what we call responsible adults.

I do still keep in touch with several of my clients even after my retirement 4 1/2 yrs ago. In fact one man, Wayne, helps me with anything that needs doing around my house & calls or texts me just to make sure I’m okay since I live alone.

Funny how people “grow up” even if it takes them a little longer! 👍🏼
