Dear God, let us not forget history lest we are doomed to repeat the atrocities.

Oh, this one brought tears, Sean. Yes, it's uplifting that they persevered and sang what they knew was true and did not receive retribution. I can completely imagine how that special moment stuck in the survivors' memories. Every reminder of God during our tribulations and challenges helps us endure more of them. Because we know, we believe that God is in control of our lives, and without Him we are nothing. I pray for those who do not have God in their lives in some way that they reach out to Him and realize that He actually is in every one of us, but we must awaken to His presence, thank Him for our every days, and honor every day the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. Merry Christmas, the birthday of His Son!

As we see so many people on Christmas drink, party, watch football and the Christmas parade, give too many gifts to children, pig out on delicious dinners, and generally think Christmas is only another day to party, let us remember the real reason for Christmas, as these Polish prisoners did in the bowels of Hell on earth known as the Auschwitz Concentration Camp on Dec. 24, 1941; the reason for the season is to celebrate the birth of the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ. God bless you all and to all a Merry Christmas.

I’m sitting in a candlelight service, the choir is singing The First Noel and I’m reading this. I am torqued. God is born. Yes.

My heart is weeping for those who have suffered through such atrocities and yet they could honor our Father and our Lord and Savior in those circumstances. May we learn what true faith really means!
