Congratulations on both The Opry and Kinfolk. FWIW, we've seen your one-man train wreck. We still smile about it. You made everyone in the Springer Theater feel like - well - kinfolk. Well done.

Pone, no jokes today. Your relationship with your dad is obviously a centerpoint in your life, and it's clear that your readers relate to it. If by any chance, you or anybody who enjoys this column hasn't seen this performance, do yourself a favor and watch it. I promise you'll be glad you did. Heartbreaker!

Your friend,

You may have thought this latest book a secret. It seems Someone on High was peering over your shoulder the whole time. With a grin He said turned to His Son, ‘why not’. Voilà, the Opry.

Local to me, more than 500 children have lived at the Henry & William Evans Home since it opened 70 years ago. The home, now located on Leiceister Street, cares for abused and neglected children.

Many of the children who live there experience severe challenges and trauma before they enter the building. Many stay until adulthood.

It seems your book would be a welcome addition to their library. The same goes for similar children’s homes. Keep us posted about the release of ‘Kinfolk’.
