One of the many reasons I like you and your writing, Sean, is that you DON’T express your political views and opinions. I know you have them, as everyone does, but it’s just so refreshing to know that when I open your column every day I won’t be bombarded with political drivel.

Agreed! And if I only liked people based on their political views agreeing with mine, I wouldn’t have contact with half of my family!

And the sad fact is so many don’t agree and don’t have family contact. Family is everything!

Thank you for NOT writing about politics. Thank you for your sweet, uplifting stories about kids and Jamie and dogs and the natural beauty of our country. Thank you for not engaging in “hot button” issues. I personally hear more of that than I want to hear. Have a beautiful day. Much love.

Watch out for those Episcopalians!!! 😉 They’re the ones who believe that God loves you with no exceptions… even the author of that question! Your response was perfect!

Exactly! We Episcopalians welcome all no matter who they are, just the way Jesus did.

Sean, I love the way you answer all these stupid questions! I know you’re born again and have a right relationship with God but religious people are so stiff necked and intolerant, not like Jesus, but like the religious leaders that crucified Him! Keep it up, you’re my hero!!

My opinion is, that I as an American let the naysayers go to the wayside and focus on my relationship with Jesus. I can’t believe how narrow minded a lot of folks are these days. I wake up each day and am blessed to take that first breath for the day. Sean, I am a bookstagrammer and for those that don’t know what that is, I read, enjoy and review books on different platforms, and receive many free advanced copies from publishers (including Sean’s). Sean you never disappoint me with your books and blogs. Keep on being the loving, smiling man that God has lead you to be.

"My opinion is that America has the best politicians money can buy." Careful, you might just get kicked off another social media platform. Big Brother is watching on this anniversary of the death of George Orwell.

Sean, I read a few political Substacks before reading your column. I read you last because you are always positive and I like beginning the rest of my day on a positive note. There are plenty of Substacks for people to get their fill of political opinions. I really liked this quote: "My opinion is that America has the best politicians money can buy." You hit the nail on the head. Keep up with the positivity!

Some people want to define you by THEIR politics or THEIR religion.

Hoping you’ll be on their “team.”

Maybe they’re not so staunch in their beliefs?

Stay free from all of that.

You preach love, which is sadly absent from most politics and many religions.

Excellent story today. Got me laughing with some of the answers especially the last one. We love you because there is no need for politics in here. We want dogs and children and mothers in laws and biscuits and mountains and old people in small town restaurants. Things we understand and relate to. Politics would only make it dirty. Stay clean Sean. We love you.
