I like the art you are including in each day's posting. Looks like it is something you are doing yourself? Good work - I am impressed with your drawing!
Excellent story. The best of friends aren't the perfect, beautiful ones. They are the ones that make you whole. Thanks for bringing this truth to light in your story, Sean.
Humans are fundamentally good. Positive. It's in our DNA. We don't hear about it much these days, but I can always trust you to find the best in anything. Thanks. We need this.
Ok, Sean. You got me on that one. 😭 Nice work. As a girl, Lewis Grizzard was my hero and early writing mentor. Some kids go to the funnies first, (do kids even know what a newspaper is like now?) I went for Lewis Grizzard’s column as well as Erma Bombeck. They were both funny day after day, but off and on Lewis would invoke a tug on the heart or even a tear. I was moved and fascinated by that, the ability to affect my emotions with laughter or other feels.
"Nobody wants to adopt me because I'm so ugly." Pone that's called hitting us with a gutpunch! The sad thing is it's probably true. I know that I take a lot for granted, and I'm sure that others do do. I can't imagine having to go through life feeling like that. You know the kid has a lot to give. Powerful stuff Bud!

Where’s my Kleenex? Beautiful stories! Maybe you could follow up on them someday.
Thank you for the simple and good, not earth shattering but pure and real and so dang sweet.

Some times earth angels work together to help people and animals.
Your column today reminds me of the title of a Bob Goff book.
‘Love Does: Discover a Secretly Incredible Life in an Ordinary World’
Many of your stories fall under this umbrella.
Let’s all ‘do’ something lovely today.
