Maybe God put dogs on earth so we would know what if felt like to be loved unconditionally. I had to put down a female English Bulldog named Peaches years ago. I dug her grave in the back yard and once I put her in the grave my male bulldog "Cleatus" went into the grave and gave her kisses. I helped him climb out then he passed away about 18 months later. I haven't had another dog since. God spelled backwards is dog

Anyone who has the great fortune to be loved by a dog has known something of the divine. Unselfish, unassuming devotion we should be showing each other is such a gift. They are all angels on earth. Bless them all ❤️

I will always love a dog. My own dog sat by my bedside day and night during the time I was taking chemo. The love and compassion in her eyes were always the first thing I saw as she was at eye level with me.

The memory that hurt so bad was that she later had cancer and there was nothing I could do for her but give her a dignified death.

This is a great one to read again. What dedication these dogs had, and their handlers, too. When working dogs have a task to do, they just don't give up.

I remember seeing a picture of Bretagne on her final walk ,with honors. It haunted me then as it does now.

Mama used to tell me that Dog is God spelled backwards.

Oh yes.

Thank you for giving us your vivid compassion ,for allowing us the way to unite together in sharing (once again) our heartfelt( and beyond) gratitude to them.
