You’ve just pointed out, with your usual humor, the absurdity of “normal” daily lives. Ridiculous, isn’t it, when seen in print!🥴

Heh, hilarious, Sean. You have summarized modern living in a few short paragraphs. Well done.

Grab that pole and go fishing or just sit on your front porch and listen to the world as God made it. Listen to the bird calls, cicada hums and coyote howls. Have a conversation with your neighbor or wife and really listen to what they are really saying. Play your guitar or other instruments and sing so everyone and everything outdoors can hear your glorious voice. No need to be afraid, the real world, the important world is with you.

Reader, seems to me Sean is doing well on this score. It’s US he’s concerned about.

You shall know them by their fruits.

You listed all the things that feed our fear, anxiety, hatred, depression and anger we hold in our hands.

Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, self control and faithfulness: how much better to feed these attitudes and thoughts. Hold these in your hearts says the Lord. Amen!

Our power goes out a few times a year either due to ice storms or drunk drivers hitting a pole (again). Years ago one of my daughter got out her violin (fancy fiddle?) and sat on the living room floor playing in the candlelight. Favorite memory!

Heh... I thought I had mis-read "congressmen's balls" and then the next sentence clarified that I did indeed read it correctly. :D

Thanks, Sean.

You answered your own question, Sean, and perfectly…”maybe it’s time you lived your life.”

And that’s great advice for all of us. Unplug ourselves and rely on our own senses. There are 7 of them…sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch, balance, and awareness.

It’s a whole new world out there 🌎

Your “panic” I s palpable. Your humor is hilarious. Putting my phone down now…gonna go laugh with my husband and water the flowers. Or is it the other way ‘round?

You are exactly right Sean. I find myself caught up in the news a lot....especially since I ran a newspaper for 25 years in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. It was a great profession then. And I do feel I need to know about our democracy. But it is easy to get yourself "too involved." Life is a gift and should be appreciated.
