After reading Sean’s post, I wondered if Andrew would focus on Sean’s embarrassment, the passerby’s generosity, or the $200 bill? You surprised me with a possible angelic encounter. The perfect end of that perspective would have been when Sean showed up at the care center only to learn no one named Donna Vaughn had ever worked there.
Sean! Go visit Donna at work with your musicality and “thank her” - and the residents she nourishes with good food - by sharing your gifts and talents With those very residents! Your zest for life is contagious AND nourishes the soul of those who can always use a “boost”! Blessings to Donna And to you♥️
I WISH I was Donna Vaughn. But this little story struck close to home. Last Sunday on FB I wished Happy Fathers Day a week early. I just KNEW it was that day. And then yesterday I wished my daughter happy birthday (once again on FB) and said she was born on 1884. Its little things that this occur with our brains made for the 1970s that cannot fathom the 2020s. I tell myself to SLOW down. As for your childhood urethra/bladder/urine days I just spent two and a half years with incontinence to drive me crazy. I had surgery 20 days ago and finally got a miracle. Im finally free of the mess. I still wish I had been Donna Vaughn. Hugging/laughing/talking to Sean Dietrich would be worth thousands of dollars to me.........
Boxers are a confession. Forgetting your wallet a shared embarrassment. Donna is an angel, as you recognized. But so are you, in your own Sean-like way. And we’re all beneficiaries of your work.
Hebrews 13:2: “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing some people have entertained angels buying underwear”…something like that.
Have you seen the prices at grocery stores, etc? I was on Walmart’s website today looking at popcorn. I forget the brand I was looking at, but it was an everyday size, not a “I’m going to feed the masses” size and it was $12.00!!!! I can’t seem to leave Costco without spending $150-$200.
I know what you mean. Everything has tripled in price, Still for a grown man to require $200 worth of boxers or briefs at one time hints at an intriguing situation, and I for one would like to hear “the rest of the story.”
They pass us daily on the street,
ordinary girls and guys,
and we fail to see we meet
God's smiling angels in disguise.
Some have blue and frizzy hair,
some have piercings of the nose.
Some are dressed primly with care,
some have holed shoes that show their toes,
but in their eyes there is a light,
the sunrise glow of Paradise
that banishes depression's night
and melts sarcasm's slippery ice
to show us we are truly meant
to be God's loving Innocent.

Eric, thank you! I think you're right...the ending you propose would have been perfect.
:)
Eric, you paint the typical type of Sean Dietrich ending ! Always a wow 😜
Andrew, your beautiful words always make my day.
Beautiful Andrew, Thank you!
I like that: "Sarcasm's slippery ice".
I don’t know Donna Vaughn but I love her 😍
She is now one of our favorite people! Thank you, Donna!
I think anybody on these comments would have bought Sean’s groceries. I imagine Ms Vaughn thinks SHE’S the lucky one
Sara, you are probably correct!

I,agine what might happen if he played a few tunes in the dining hall!

I’ve realized Jamie sends you grocery shopping for the hijinx. And we are grateful.
Lord, bless Donna Vaughn mightily.

Wait. What? $200 for underwear? I think there is another story here you aren’t telling. Spill.

"Mysterious strangers"? Sometimes the Universe decides it loves us after all. How are the ribs?
Love it. Don’t He just!!
God is good! He helps us in many ways including other people 😍
