Otis gives us a lesson, to be highly observant. Opinions and judgments are rarely useful. Keep your muzzle shut and you’ll notice what’s most important. The people you love.

Yep, dogs know stuff.

Well, I have been privileged to be in many dogs’ lives, I am grieving now and without a dog…but I say this with certainty: a Dog is the heart of God. She is pure love, sent by Jesus when he gets delayed…dogs just can look at you with big eyes and shame your soul for fussing at her for growling at the neighbor…they are really Angel stand-ins. I know. I’ve loved a bunch of them throughout all my life. ❤️

Every time our dog figures out a way to snuggle up between us, lie on her back, with her head planted in my armpit, her front legs up in the air, and I’m sure a smile on her face, I know she knows stuff. I got a set of steps for her so she could get on the bed a little easier. She has a little bit of a hard time using those. She knows she’s welcome when we take a nap.

Otis is very handsome and looks like such a good boy! You can't rescue them all but you can rescue that special one and change both your lives. My business is pups (professional pet spoiler, daycamp-boarding owner) and I am fond of saying that I would live under a bridge before I would give up one of mine. My current terrorist has put me to the test. Pats for Otis!

I wish you could have met the late Jack Stagner. My coon hound that lived a full 20 years. Beyond smart. Talk about knowing stuff. I never had to roll the windows up when I shopped. If Jack got too hot he'd jump out and get under the truck. Always be right there when I came back. Where was he going anyway? He knew he was getting a cheeseburger on the way home. Why run off?

Jack was probably the the best friend I ever had. I could literally write a book about him. He was just beyond wonderful. He slept in my bed pretty much his whole 20 years. Most of it I was single. Any girlfriend had to understand up front what Jack's position was. If there was a problem, well, you know.
